Privacy Policy for Docka
Last updated: May 3, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how information may be processed when you use the mobile application Docka for Apple platforms (“App”). By using the App, you acknowledge that you have read this Policy.

Data controller: Aleksei Neiman, privacy contact: neumandev@gmail.com.

1. Overview
Docka helps you organize boards, lists, and task cards. Processing is limited to what is needed to operate the App, sync your content across your devices, and (where applicable) improve the service using aggregated analytics provided by Firebase Analytics.

2. Information we process
2.1. Content you create
Information you enter into the App may include board and list titles, card titles and descriptions, checklist/subtask structure, and other details you add within available features.
This information is stored on your device and may be synced using Apple services (iCloud / CloudKit) across devices signed in with your Apple ID.

2.2. Sync and notifications
Reliable sync may rely on Apple infrastructure, including Apple Push Notification service (APNs) and related system mechanisms. Those processes are governed by Apple’s terms and policies applicable to your Apple ID and device.

2.3. App settings
Certain preferences may be stored locally on your device. If settings are synced between your devices using iCloud Key-Value Storage, Apple processes those values to enable synchronization tied to your Apple ID.

2.4. Firebase Analytics (Google)
The App uses Google Firebase Analytics to understand how Docka is used in aggregate (for example, events such as creating boards, lists, or cards). Analytics helps improve stability and usability.
Firebase Analytics processes technical and usage information according to Google’s and Firebase’s documentation. For details on what Firebase collects and how it is used, please review:
Firebase/Google may collect identifiers and device/app diagnostics as described in those policies; such processing typically occurs under Google’s infrastructure.

2.5. Support messages
If you contact us via the developer contact option (for example, email), we receive your message content and the email address you send from. If the App suggests technical details (device model, OS version, app version, region, language), including them is voluntary.

3. Purposes of processing
We process information to:
  • provide core App functionality;
  • enable synchronization across your Apple devices;
  • maintain reliability of sync and related background behaviors;
  • measure aggregated usage and improve Docka via Firebase Analytics (see Section 2.4 and Firebase/Google policies above);
  • respond to support requests.

4. Legal bases (EEA/UK users, where applicable)
Depending on applicable law (such as GDPR / UK GDPR), processing may rely on:
  • performance of a contract / steps prior to entering a contract (providing the App’s features);
  • legitimate interests (security, product improvement, limited analytics—balanced against your rights);
  • consent where required separately under applicable law.

5. Sharing with third parties
Processing may involve:
  • Apple Inc. (iCloud, CloudKit, APNs, and the Apple platform ecosystem), subject to Apple’s terms and your Apple ID settings;
  • Google LLC for Firebase Analytics, subject to the Firebase/Google privacy documentation linked in Section 2.4.
We do not sell your personal information in the conventional sense of “data brokerage.”

6. Retention and deletion
  • Local device data is under your control; uninstalling the App may remove local data depending on OS behavior.
  • iCloud-stored data is managed through your Apple ID and Apple’s tools and policies.
  • Analytics data handled by Google is retained according to Firebase/Google policies referenced above.
  • Support emails are retained only as long as needed to handle your request, unless a longer period is required by law.

7. Security
We rely on Apple platform protections. We recommend keeping your OS updated and securing your device and Apple ID (passcode/biometrics, strong Apple ID protection).

8. Children
Docka may be listed with a 4+ age rating in app stores. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, please contact us at neumandev@gmail.com and we will take reasonable steps to delete such information where required by applicable law.

9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict processing, object to processing, and data portability.
Submit privacy requests to neumandev@gmail.com. You may also use Apple-provided controls for Apple/iCloud data and consult Google’s tools/policies where Firebase Analytics applies.

10. Changes
We may update this Policy. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use after updates may indicate acceptance where permitted by law.
